• Rare sterling silver teaset by London silversmith Adey Bellamy Savory
• Silversmith mark ABS in business since 1822
• This set was made in 1828
• Ornate floral repousse with daisy rims and lid finial
• The teapot has a fox head on the handle
• All 3 pieces are marked with George III head, London leopard head, lion passant for sterling and the date letter N corresponding to 1828
• Absolutely gorgeous museum pieces of work
• The teapot stands approx. 6.5" tall to top of handle x 11" from spout to handle x 3.75" base diameter
• Hinged lid and clean interior with ivory insulator rings on handle (less than 1% of piece)
• Creamer stands about 4" to top of handle x 7.5" across handle to spout x 2.5" base diameter
• Also very clean interior
• Double handle sugar bowl measures approx. 4.75" tall to handle x 8" across handle to handle x 3" base diameter 3
• Clean interior with a couple of dings in bottom of bowl
• I believe this is an open sugar as there is no hinge for lid and rim is not flattened like the teapot rim, but I could be mistaken
• The 3 piece set weighs about 48 ozt
• No monogram
• set shows less than appropriate wear for it's 184 years- some light surface scratches and a couple of tiny dings noted
• Small dimple on teapot handle, shown
• insulator rings have cracks
