"Monsieur Beaucaire"
by Booth Tarkington Monsieur Beaucaire is a short novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Booth Tarkington that was first published in 1900. The setting is Bath during the eighteenth century.ConditionThis book has a lot of character! There's a personalized gift note on the first blank page, written in 1900, wishing the recipient a Merry Christmas. Moderate to heavy wear on the cover, edge and shelf wear consistent with a antique book, and signs of some previous water damage which didn't seep onto the pages. All of the pages are still intact, but the binding is a little loose and starting to separate, so it requires some care when in use. May have some smudges on multiple pages, but legibility isn't affected. There are some small check marks in pencil in the margins. Includes very nice illustrations. GREAT ANTIQUE collectible vtg
