EXQUISITE!! 1900's EDWARDIAN Signed "OSTBY BARTON" Jade PEKING GLASS Sterling FILIGREE NECKLACE
Offered here is a RARE example of an antique EDWARDIAN Filigree necklace.... stamped "OB STERLING" on the back....founded by Englehart Ostby, starting his own jewelry firm in 1879 out of Providence, RI and perishing aboard the TITANIC in 1912. It is estimated to be circa 1900-1910.
This is an ELEGANT antique necklace that boasts a BEAUTIFUL Jade PEKING GLASS stone set in Filigree. The Peking Glass is held within a serrated bezel and mounted on an EXQUISITE open backed PIERCED FILIGREE frame. The designs in the FILIGREE are especially ORNATE and DETAILED!!
The pendant measures a little over 5/8 inch wide by 1 3/4 inches tall.....suspending from a delicate round linked chain with a chased FILIGREE push clasp.
The necklace is a HIGH QUALITY piece of costume jewelry.....a sought after COLLECTORS piece, and very RARE!! It measures 18 1/4 inches long.....with the GORGEOUS pendant adding another 1 3/4 inches to the length.
This is a SPLENDID antique necklace from the TITANIC ERA....and it is in PERFECT vintage condition!! No scratches, no nicks, no flaws!!
