You are offerding on AN ORIGINAL OPEN CAR WINDSHIELD FRAME FOR (I BELIEVE) PACKARD PASSENGER CARS AROUND 1928-30. As far as the model my guess would be a 645 or 745. This is a very high quality cast windshield frame you would have seen on large expensive cars of this period. This can be seen in it\'s design, specifically made for a car with a curved cowl. the dimensions are 51 inches wide at the widest spot, 23 inches high. The base is 4 inches wide (deep). I wish I knew more about it, but it came from a collection of parts purchased from a collector who owned many classic cars. The casting is in good shape, and while the chrome is surprisingly good it would need re-chroming for show. This isn\'t a surprise when you consider how old it is. This fame is the needle in the haystack, and has been stored for many years, and it shows. I am hopeful that this frame is the missing piece that re-energizes the restoration of one of these great cars, or at least becomes a important spare for an owner.
