ITEM: You are offerding on an iconic and just fabulous machine age art deco C. 1935 GE / General Electric electric model 8B04 Cyclometer New Executive desk clock. Just a spirited Industrial design aesthetic in very fine working condition. This was designed by the well regarded industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague, the important American industrialist who conceived the Sparton Bluebird radios of the era among other accomplishments.

Features a black digital Bakelite case with modernist chromium piping along the lower areas with chrome escutcheon; designed by Walter Dorwin Teague, and premiered in 1935. Two Varieties of this clock were made, a walnut case with a gold escutcheon, and this one a black bakelite case with a chrome escutcheon which ismuch rarer.
The clock was touted in sales literature as a \"new and moderately priced ($8.95 in 1935) cyclometer.\"

The Original cord has been replaced. It is in working condition and quite handsome as seen. The top of the case top has light surface scratches along with the escutcheon around the numbers. The Clock measures 7.75\" long by 3.25\" tall.

Really a spirited design and fine example of this coveted 1930\'s machine age clock.In very good - fine cosmetic condition and in fine working order. We had this plugged in all afternoon and it seems to keep accurate time and runs smoothly and quietly. This would benefit from a detailed and exact cleaning to really sparkle I spent a few minutes cleaning this with great results but time was not there to be as detailed as I would have liked.

One tiny back nick on the back lower case edge rim as seen in detail below CONDITION: In fine condition a tiny bit of roughness on the back edge the cord looks to be replaced and looks fine and was likely replaced in the 1950s. By all accounts just a fine example of this desirable form and coveted antique art deco machine age clock.
