Hinchliffe Stadium was opened in 1932 and was immediately home to Negro League Baseball and the New York Black Yankees. Pre-Nascar auto racing, professional wrestling and assorted barnstorming features made this amazing 10,000 seat stadium a prominent stop on their national tours.
Offered here is an unused ticket for June 11, 1940 for Section 5, Grandstand for \"Night Speedway Motorcycle Racing\" promoted by International Raceways, Inc. The original price of the ticket was 75 cents which was a pretty hefty price in its day.
The Hinchliffe Stadium is now designated a NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK and is planned for extensive renovations and preservation efforts.
The condition of the ticket is excellent except for the fading on upper right corner where it says \"5 SEC.\".
