There is a grand total of 440 pages in this book which includes the complete text of each of the Three Dick and Jane Pre-Primers as well as the complete text of the Guidebook which describes the pre-primers in detail.

This wonderful book is a part of the New Basic Readers - Curriculum Foundation Series. Written by William S. Gray, A. Sterl Artley, May Hill Arbuthnot and Lillian Gray.

The beautiful classic illustrations are by the famous Dick and Jane artist, Eleanor Campbell, and are still bright and colorful though the book is over 60 years old!

The first pre-primer The New We Look and See has 48 pages and 11 Dick, Jane and Baby Sally Stories.

The second pre-primer The New We Work and Play has 64 pages and 15 more adorable stories.

The third pre-primer is The New We Come and Go includes 72 pages and 17 more classic stories of this well-known reading series.

The GUIDEBOOK section of this volume is wonderful! It is made up of 256 pages of detailed informationaboutthe history of the Dick and Jane pre-primers and series. There are also detailed lesson plans for each of the stories in the pre-primers.It also includes descriptions of all the supplemental teaching aids (such as Think and Do Books, the Big Book, picture cards and word cards) used in teaching with these 3 pre-primers.

CONDITION DETAILS:

As mentioned above,
this rare book is in
VERY GOOD condition!

The cover has retained its rich blue color, and the corners are still sharp and square. There is some light soiling and rubbing at corners and edges of spine. There is a marked out name on the front blank end page. There are no school stamps or stickers.

The inside pages of this book are clean, white and bright. There is a stain on the closed page edges when the book is closed, and this stain shows on the edges of a few of the middle pages. Also, at the back, there is a split at the binding where the book was opened all the way.The pages are still securely attached. There is no writing, no scribbling and no tears.
