Rare 52 Cm Vintage Teledyne Titan, First Titanium Bicycle Frame, campagnolo, fork :
Here's a rare Teledyne Titan titanium racing bicycle frame --- incredibly light - under 3 pounds --- in a nice smaller / medium size --- seat tube measures about 52 cm c-c, and top tube about 55. (Most of these were in a large frame size). Following from the internet:
"Made in the USA by Teledyne Linair Gardena (California), in 1976 these frames sold for over $700! Only about 2000 were made. The first titanium bike frame ever produced, these were very light frames for their time, with the 23" size weighing in at 3 pounds. The seatpost diameter was 26.8mm, and the frame had a built-in seatpost clamp."Decal near bottom bracket says: "Saling's Schwinn Cyclery, Somerville, NJ", so this may have been the bicycle dealership that sold this new.A very rare and beautiful industrial design frame with its original fork. Original condition with some scuffs, scrapes, peeling decals, etc. Please email me if you have questions.Goes well with Campagnolo Delta brakes, and displayed with bikes like the Cinetica, Cinelli Laser, Bianchi, and others.
