Up for the sale is a beautiful antique 18th centuryQi\'ing dynastyChineseembroidered silkpanel- altar cover. Possibly from theKangxi康熙帝Emperor rein.

Hard to find piece!

On a beige damask silk background, finely woven with floral roundels, elaboratelyembroidered in golden metallic threads using finest couching technique.

The central panel features a phoenix bird surrounded with bats from all 4 corners.

The upper panel of a red silk features 2 dragon facing each other with a flaming pearl between them and lishui borders in the corners.

Lined with linen lining, possibly of a later period.

The panelmeasures 39\" (99cm)x 35\" (89 cm).

Condition: good/ fair antique condition; please condider the very old age of the piece. Some general staining, losses to the silk borders, fading, pulling to the golden threads of the embroidery.
