This is a composition doll made around 1920 by the Averill Doll Company. Grace C. Rockwell was a designer that resided in New York City. Her most popular dolls were Little Sister and Little Brother. This doll is in excellent condition. She has light blonde painted hair, painted bright blue eyes and light red lips. She has blush on her knees. Her composition is in excellent condition and there is only a slight crazing on the back of her right arm, very slight on back of left arm and slight crazing on right side of her neck under her ear. She has a nick out of the back of her left foot that has been touched up. Her hands have all the fingers and look good. She has a stiff neck and is marked on the back of her shoulderplate with a “C within a circle”, and “by Grace Corry.” She measure 14 inches and has a cloth body. She has a light cream organdy dress and panties with pretty lace trim on the dress. It has been machine stitched and may be original to the doll. Her shoes and socks are new but appropriate. She has a sweet shy smile and comes from a smoke free home. This is a very rare doll and well taken care of.
