FOR SALE HERE ARE THESE BEAUTIFUL, ANTIQUE OPERA GLASSES, MADE BY CHEVALIER OF PARIS AROUND 1880. THE GLASSES ARE DECORATED WITH PINK ENAMEL, PAINTED FLOWERS, GILDING AND JEWELLED BORDERS. THE IVORY-COLOURED EYEPIECES ARE MARKED \"CHEVALIER OPTICIEN, PARIS\". CHEVALIER STOPPED PRODUCTION AROUND 1889.

THE GLASSES MEASURE APPROXIMATELY 4 1/4 INCHES WIDE AND 3 1/4 INCHES HIGH WHEN FULLY EXTENDED.

AS FOR THE CONDITION, BOTH IVORY-COLOURED EYEPIECES HAVE SPLIT AND THERE IS A LITTLE DAMAGE TO THE INNER PART OF ONE BARREL. THERE ARE ALSO A FEW JEWELS MISSING AROUND THE BORDER. PLEASE STUDY ALL PHOTOS FOR DETAILS, AS THESE FORM PART OF THE DESCRIPTION.
