VICTORIAN TRINITY PLATE

Victorian handbag dating to. late 1800’s- early 1900s. This very rare Antique Purse is made of delicate black silk...It has a gold toned metal frame, precious jewels in sapphire blue are set in the clasp.. It is marked Trinity Plate and it is very collectible. . Trinity Plate frames were custom handmade, so this purse is probably a one of a kind piece. According to printed information that originally came with Trinity bags, a section read "Every frame under this trade mark is handmade and guaranteed to be finished with a deposit of 24 Karat Gold." The purse features a petit point floral arrangement framed with jewels set in a filligree... . The gold metal frame is ornate and goes completely around the opening of the purse; .. The satin lining is peach in color...It is in perfect condition. This is definitely a beautiful display piece... The carry chain is gold toned with 8 sapphire blue jewels... ...

The purse is in pristine condition...It measures 5 3/4 inches from the top of the clasp to the bottom of the bag...it is about 5 1/2 inches acrossed at it widest point...The gold tone frame is nice and bright with just a hint of a vintage patina,, the overall appearance is stunning. All elements of the frame are secure and in good working order, closing with a gentle snap. .
