Rare Antique Historical Staffordshire Mount Vernon Dark Blue Transferware Teapot For SaleOffered for sale is a rare circa 1820s historical Staffordshire dark blue transferware teapot in the "Mount Vernon, the Seat of the Late General Washington" view. Includes the correct lid. It is marked on the bottom as shown.Condition: Displays nicely, but unfortunately has some issues. The lid has old repairs to the edges and finial and the overspray has yellowed with age. The pot has a 1/2" long old chip repair to one of the top corners and a little bit of glaze rubbing to another top corner. There is a 1/4" long chip off the inner top lip where the lid rests. There are a couple short and minor spider lines near the base as seen and a bit of light discoloration. The spout and handle are intact and undamaged. The color is nice and the glaze is shiny. Measures 7" tall overall and 11" across from handle to spout.
