Up for immediate purchase is this incredibly rare, 1930\'s, made in the USA, guaranteed original and authentic, about 75-80 percent full, Contoure Herbal Oil splash in a two-ounce (60ml) size; distributed by A. Breslauer Co. of New York, N.Y. The front and back gold paper labels have the expected age-related wear and patina. Some of the type-set print has faded/blurred. The shiny gold-tone metal screw-top cap also has some discoloration.The Back of the Bottle Reads:

This rich, pure oil contains extractions from rare herbs. Before retiring, smooth on generously, particularly around the eyes and mouth and under chin.

Abram Breslauer first headed this cosmetics company, followed by his son, Benjamin Breslauer. Its cosmetics items – everything from lipsticks to compacts – were first demonstrated and sold in beauty salons (approx.1910s-1930s). The Contoure product line was sold during the late 1920s through the early 1940s. Breslauer is one of several companies that was eventually squeezed out of the cosmetics’ market by Charles Revson (founder of Revlon) who\'s cutthroat exclusive sales contracts forbade competitors\' products to be sold alongside his and, ergo, the end of Breslauer.
