Rare Bavarian Carved Wooden Black Forest Bear Bottle Stopper + 1 Other 99p Start For Sale
WELCOME! Thank you for checking out my sale... Offered here are a charming couple of carved wooden bears in the Bavarian, Black Forest style. The one is mounted as a bottle stopper whilst the other is free standing. The stopper example measures 3 1/4 inches high, in total. The other stands 2 3/4 inches high. Condition: The stoppered example is perfect, with no faults or damage at all. However, the other bear sadly has some loss to his right foot, as shown in the photo. The latter is particularly well carved, with a lovely, expressive face. He has a hole in his left paw, and a chamfer in his right paw, so it looks as though he held something once upon a time.
