Rare Cased Crystal Palace Exhibition Medallion 1862 Universal Massonnet Edition For SaleThis fantastic condition copper or bronze medallion measures 50mm (2'') across and weighs 70 grams. It was produced by Jean Francois Antoine Bovy (1795-1877) to commemorate the great exhibition at Crystal Palace. It has the young Queen Victoria to one side signed Bovy and to the reverse a very detailed picture of the Crystal Palace with the text below " Universal Exhibition of London 1862 - Massonnet Editor ". It comes complete with its original leather and velvet lined case and is in brilliant condition I really dont think it has ever been out of the case. A very fine exhibition medal from a fine Victorian maker in exceptional condition.
This is one of several medallions from the 17th 18th & 19th centuries that I am selling this week and I will always combine shipping to reduce costs.
International buyers are always welcome to this sale. F.M.O.C. Postage outside the United Kingdom is at cost please contact me for a quote. Due to the recent large increase in UK postage rates I am happy for international buyers to arrange their own collection and domestic buyers to collect in person. Most international postage rates are listed as NOT signed for and NOT insured so if you require either please let me know and I will add it to your invoice. Sadly due to Italy terrible postage system I will always add £5.15 to the postage charge for signed for to ensure it reaches the customer. If the item is listed as " Signed for " on the postage then obviously it is already included. If you have any questions please do contact me. All our items are extremely well packed to save them from damage in transit. If you are not happy with this article based on the information I have provided I will always happily refund minus the cost of any postage. All purchases must be piad for within 3 days of the end of the sale unless agreed otherwise.
