Thick octavo [6.75" x 9.75"], 372 pp with an additional index and pull-out map of Brazil. With illustrations from photographs by Kermit Roosevelt and other members of the expedition. With its rare original dust jacket. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Very light wear to the front panel, spine, and flaps. A large closed tear is present on the rear panel at the top edge with an area of discoloration beneath. The book is in fine condition. The brown cloth boards are extremely well preserved with firm edges. The gilt lettering on the spine is clear and vibrant. The front board has a very slight overbite. The frontispiece retains its original tissue guard. The contents are neat and bright with clean plates and maps.
