\"Republic Of Texas Oath Of Allegiance.\" This document reads:\"Republic Of Texas, County of Harris, Personally Appeared before me, James M. McGee an acting Justice of the peace in and for the county of Harris; The Citizen; A. Osburn (spelling),who being duly sworn, upon his oath deposes and says that he has resided with the Republic Of Texas, Six Months, and that he intends to reside permanently in the same, that he will support the Constitution, and bear true Allegiance to the Republic Of Texas. Sworn to and Subscribed before me, this day 2 c (?) day of April A.D. 1841 James McGee (seal), (there\'s something written underneath his signature, we can not make it out). It is signed by the person taking the Oath A. Osborn (spelling).\"On the reverse are several stamps, like postmarks, we don\'t know what they are.This is a very rare document, and the only one we have seen from Harris County.Condition: Overall very nice, please use our large scans for judging condition.
