Up for a sale is an undergradedRARE Double Confederate Dies 1861-O 50c ANACS CSA (Obv WB-103) & (Rev. WB-104), graded and certified byANACS Very Fine 30 details! This is a MUCH more rare Confederate die pair with BOTH the obverse having the CSA WB-103 Bisecting Date die crack, and is paired with the CSA reverse WB-104 Split Olive Bud die. These combination dies are almost as valuble as the WBd-102 die crack, but not quite in my opinion to the extent of double the value of a WB-103 or WB-104 by themselves. In my opinion, this extremely elusiveConfederate mintedcoin displays XF+ details, as there is a full and sharp "Liberty." This is an authentic minted by the Confederate States Government 1861-o Half Dollar in nice condition. It still shows great details and has wonderful Original Surfaces. This wonderful CSA minted coin is the RAREST and the hardest to obtain of all the die combinations, besides the WB-102,that have been tied to the New Orleans mint under the control of the Confederate States Government Authority. This will go fast, so don't sit on your hands when looking at this sale! This is your opportunity to own one of the rarest and most historical Confederate museum quality coins minted by the Confederacy.
"WB-103. DIE CRACK BISECTED DATE. (I HEAD DIE) The head die has a vertical die crack from the rim to the rock along the left side of the 6 in the date. It is paired with 2 tail dies, the first of which is a later die state of WB- 102. This indicates that WB-103 was also struck by the Confederacy. (Breen-Unlisted)
WB-104. SPEARED OLIVE BUD. (1 TAIL DIE) This variety has a tail die with two parallel horizontal die defect lines through the upper olive bud. It is paired with 2 head dies, the earliest of which is WB- 103. Through die linking, both marriages for this variety were struck by the Confederacy. (Breen-Unlisted), graded and certified by PCGSFine 12! In my opinion, this rare coin is in the VF range, as there is a full "Liberty." This is an authentic minted by the Confederate States Government 1861-o Half Dollar in nice condition. It still shows great details and has wonderful Original Surfaces. This wonderful CSA minted coin is the RAREST (WB-102) and the hardest to obtain of all the die combinations that have been tied to the New Orleans mint under the control of the Confederate States Government Authority.
