Herewe have one of the prettiest plates I’ve ever seen. The inside of the plate has an applied sprigdecoration of stylized leaves molded from brilliant white clay. The effect is stunning on the bright yellowclay. This is the smaller of two plateswith applied white clay decoration. This rare tiny plate measures only 5¼” in diameter by 1 ¼” high. This is inmint condition with no damage or repairs.The underside of the plate is impressed “WEDGWOOD” and was made between1820 and 1840. This plate is anextremely rare and collectable piece of yellow ware that does not appear in anyof the books on yellow ware.
