Description:
Here I am pleased to offer an authentic and original C.1905 12-inch (when standing) child\'s \"teddy bear\" that we attribute to Steiff, Germany. This early bear is made from light brown soft mohair with traditional head gusset, pronounced 1 1/2 in. snout, and original \"shoe button\" eyes. Arms measure 6 1/2 in. long. Feet and hands retain original matching felt. Brown floss stitched claws and nose, four (4) stitches per hand/foot. Sewn-on ears. No button in ear. Swivel head, jointed limbs. Appears to be filled with cotton.

Condition:
Excellent, original, unrestored condition. Minor wear to felt pad paws. Tummy seam separation with older thread repair. Brown paw floss is intact but one thread has disconnected. Wear to nose floss. Mohair shows wear and thinning in areas. Zero signs of dry rot/shedding of any sort. Please see pics. Overall excellent, original.
