We are happy to offer a few more of these wonderful antique original Shaker made tallow and beeswax candles that are from a New York collectors estate we bought a few months ago. If you follow our listings or check our response you can see more info on the others we sold in the past. We unpacked another box with several more and were surprised to find them so we are offering a few here for you if you missed the others we sold. Check out all the pics so you can see how fabulous these are. Old and original and just primitive perfect if you collect original early lighting and especially these candles...they are getting SO hard to find in good shape. These were stored in metal lined boxes so the critters didn\'t get to them. Some have changed colors over the years from the elements as expected with the age of these but if you know much about tallow and beeswax you can appreciate how they feel and smell and the patina that only happens with natural aging over a whole lot of years from the past.
This measures about 8 inches long. They are tallow and beeswax and all original from the 1800\'s so they don\'t smell nice or fancy they are plain and simple and have the best texture on them too from the natural patina. Dark and lighter from the natural aging as you see in the pics.
The wicks are old braided ones as you see in the pics. The base on these has the notches to hold them in the holders more steady than the plain ones.
The antique Shaker candle tin holder here in the pics is for display only so it\'s not part of this sale.
