Rare E.c. Brown (reverse N Stamp) Salt Glazed Gallon? Whiskey Jug Georgia For SaleFor your consideration is an awesome example of an early gallon? stamped "E.C. Brown" whiskey jug. Standing just about 10 1/4" tall x about 6 3/4" in diameter, this early jug by Edward C. Brown (1870-1944), appears to be one of his earlier pieces, believed to be from Howell's Mill Georgia, though the brown pottery moved to NC, this piece bears the earlier stamp with reverse N. This is a fine example of his work with a clear stamp. Very attractive in salt glaze, as most of his pieces are found with Albany slip. This piece is in great condition for it's age, and rings true. Only condition issue to point out are two very minor rim flakes as seen in the pictures. Here's a chance to add a signed piece of Ga. (NC?) pottery to your collection. These rarely come up for sale like they used to. offer with confidence, you will not be disappointed in this jug.
