Rare Edward I Hammered Silver Penny Coin~canterbury Mint~circa 1272-1307 For Sale
This sale is for a rare EDWARD Ist HAMMER SILVER penny with a CANTERBURY MINT. It is in great condition considering it is over 700 years old. The coins of that time were HAMMER-STRUCK by HAND, and even under the best circumstances had uneven planchets and weak details. This particular EDWARD I is fairly flat and has very nice details as seen in the photos. This circa 1272-1307 Edward I is approximately 18 mm in diameter.
