violin labeled GASPARD DIUFFO de PRUGGAR, but attributed
toHONORE DERAZEYmade in Mirecourt, France circa 1850.
It is an extraordinary instrument, a masterwork of early
French violin-making in a beautiful state of preservation.
I've seen Diuffo's sell for as much as $7000.00 and
they were not in nearly the fine condition as this one.It has a very beautiful, strong, lyrical sound...I've

and was shot on my inexpensive Casio digital camera in
video mode. There is absolutely no enhancement of the
sound whatsoever...no expensive, special microphones,

Body measures 14" long.
Lower bout is 8" wide;
upper bout is 6-1/2" French violins are becoming difficult to find. These
