RARE GEORGE I HENRY CLARKE 1719 HALLMARKED SILVER MARROW SPOON ENGRAVED BIRD
Up for sale is a fine and rareearly 18th century George I silver marrow spoon. The marrow spoon is hallmarked "CL" for London maker Henry Clarke, with date mark "D" for 1719, a Britannia silver quality mark (a higher grade than sterling), and a lion's head mark. The condition of the spoon is excellent withminor polishing wear from age and use. There is a bird's head crest engraved on the back of the spoon. The marrow spoon measures 8.5 inches length or about 21.6 centimeters and the spoon weighs 46 grams, a nice heavy gauge silver. A fine and rare early spoon for your collection, sold with .
