RARE Galluba & Hofmann figurine. 1897-1927 German. Exquisite lady in lace. :
$489.00

This is an exquisitely detailed porcelain figurine produced in Germany by Galluba and Hofmann. The mark on the bottom is mark #2436 in \"Marks on German, Bohemian and Austrian Porcelain\" by Robert E. Rontgen, and was used between 1897 and 1927. I wish she was perfect because then I would list her for $1500-$1600, she\'s that remarkable. But she\'s had repairs and she has the following problems. The little finger on her right hand is broken off, and I think at one time she carried a parasol because there is the remnant of what was probably the handle still held in her hand and what was probably part of the umbrella still resting on her shoulder. There is a piece of the lace missing from her left sleeve in the back of the sleeve, about half an inch wide, not noticeable from the front because of the ruffling of her sleeves. The branch on her left has been broken and glued, and a larger branch behind her has a piece broken off. I have tried to show all of these in my photos. I hope you can see them. Now that all that nasty stuff is out of the way, let\'s talk about how gorgeous she is. You can see every curl in her hair, and the lace of her collar and sleeves is so dainty and delicate. Her pretty face is just beautiful and has a dreamy quality to it. Her tiny feet are encased in blue shoes with pink bows, and her dress drapes so nicely you expect it to be soft when you touch it. She stands 7-7/8\" tall from the tip of her feathered hat to the base she is standing on. She should be professionally restored, and I hope someone will consider doing that. She is a real work of art, and somewhere around one hundred years old. We should all look so good at her age. She would make a wonderful gift for someone special or for yourself, and if you buy her very soon, I will take her to the Post Office post haste and get her in the mail to you, packed and padded in such a way that the Post Office cannot possibly break her. Well, maybe if they run a fork lift over her, but that\'s all.

We do not charge for handling or travelingto the post office or any other hidden charges. If you have any questions, please email us. We’ll get back to you within a couple ofhours usually.
