This HUGE Museum Quality Bolo Slide measures a full 3-1/2" tall by 3" wide, and features Stunning rarely seen Complex and Dense Foliate Applique`! The meticulous and Highly Ornate Applique` work consists of Desert Flowers, Leaves, turned Silver wire, multiples of Silver raindrop beads in various sizes, a thick Sterling Silver Rope inside border, and large and precise deep-grooved Crescent and Sunrise Stampwork - Outstanding! The Centerpiece for this Bolo is a large highly detailed chisel chased Eagle with Coral Cabochon on the head. The Coral Cabochon measures 3/16" in diameter and is set in a deep plain silver bezel. Six (6) SpectacularTurquoise Nuggets adorn the outer perimeter of the Bolo. Thelargest of the Nuggets measures 5/8" across by 3/8" wide, and each are securely set in a deep plain sterling silver bezel. The Turquoise exhibits a beautifully aged rich Deep Blue color and features lots of natural pyrite inclusions with black matrix - tons of zat!!!
The back of this Magnificent Bolo Slide is fit with a Bennett-style closure that holds the cord tie in place and allows for adjustment. The well-conditioned thick braided black leather Cord Tie measures approximately 39" in length from end-to-end, including the Ornate Stamped Drum Bolo Tips.These rarely seen hand made Bolo Tips feature arrowhead stampwork and punched dot detailing at the top with large Double Sunrise stampwork in the middle of the Tips. The solid sterling silver Drums at each end also feature Beautiful stampwork with crown like tips - another Extraordinary detail! Drum Bolo Tips measure 2-3/8" longand the Drums are 1/2" in diameter. The Drum Tips perfectly finish this Museum Quality Bolo and are in Superb Vintage condition. The back of the Bolo Slide is hallmarked"tom willeto" and also has a marking with an engraver that reads "Kinlp MCll 8". This substantive Bolo weighs a solid 125 grams!
