Here we have a J K Farnell King Edward VIII doll dating to 1936 with swing tag.
As images show he has a finely moulded felt face with exquisitely painted features, fully jointed flesh coloured stockinette body with white gloved hands, full Highland dress with kilt, augilettes, sporran and jacket, all are very decorative and detailed, embellished with brass buttons, piping, toggles and thistle trim, bearskin hat, moulded hair, there is no discolouration or fade to his clothing he even has his original swing tag.
The condition is good with just a little surface marking on his face due to age.
He stands 14" high.
An interesting point of reference is that this doll was produced to commemorate the Coronation of this King - which never took place.
