Rare Large Martin Brothers Saltglaze Stoneware Bird Vase Dated 1879 For Sale
Here we are absolutely delighted to offer a very Rare and Large Martin Brothers Stoneware vase dated 1879, the sheer presence of the vase is breathtaking, the vase measures just over 12 inches high by 7 incheswide and it is a superb example of the early work of the brothers. Robert wallace martin was a genius, Being an early example it shows an unsual medieaval design. Condition, the vase is in incredible condition with no chips, cracks or restoration there is however a firing line going part way around the lower stem, i have took several close pics so you can seeit clearly this line cannot be seen on the inside of the vase when using a strong light.
