Up for sale with is a gorgeous and quite rare 18th Century Georgian Sterling Silver Punch or Soup Ladle. The Ladle is one of the finest examples I have sold with a fine hand decorated bowl in the form of a large Seashell. The Ladle is quite an impressive size, perfect for modern use measuring approx 13-3/4" long by 4" wide. The Ladle is also nice thick Solid Sterling Silver throughout weighing 159 grams. The Punch Ladle is fully Hallmarked for the fine Period Silversmiths William Shaw and William Priest, active from 1745-1763, London England, Sterling Silver, the Date Letter is worn. The Ladle is in very nice all original condition with no bad dents, dings, cracks or repairs and has never been over polished, showing a nice old patina. The Ladle has also never been monogrammed which is a Rare find. I doubt you will find many Georgian Period Ladles as nice as this up for sale, especially with !
