RARE LOT WW II NAVY BLIMP AIRSHIP AVIATORS FLIGHT LOG/DIARY & PERSONAL PAPERS

You are offerding on a Lot of Paper From the id'ed wwll Vet Kenneth Albert, Albert was assigned to Fleet air wing 7 Stationed in Lakehurst NJ during 1943,44 and 45 he logged over 1,500 Air hours into his log book. in a very detailed manner. It appears he was on the Move almost constantly during his duty time. Albert kept a detailed log of every Flight in his log book, and wrote several diary like note pages in his logbook. The last seven pages are full names and addresses of the men he flew with.

Albert wrote the K number of each Air Ship he was on and the crews names for each flight keeping a running total of hours in the Air his grand total was 1,503 hours.

He spent time in South America ,England Newfoundland. up and down the east coast from key west to NJ many times.

he Note finding a Downed Bomber and dropping Bombs and testing Bombs, Flying with one Engine .He has a Note the states (almost Cracked up ).

The Lot Includes:

1. Albert's logbook, ( about 60 pages of notes.)

2. About 10 pages of flight Orders and locations (theses are typed and seem to be several duplicates.

3.pamphlet US NAVY Day 1945 US Navy Air Facility Elizabeth city NC (several Photos of Blimps)

4. Welcome pamphlet to Transient personnelHarman Field Newfoundland

5.Airship Training School certificate of completion for lighter than Air duty. Dated 1943 for Albert K.

6. Aviation Radioman 2ND class rating Paper 1945.

6. 3rd anniversary program for founding of US Naval Air Station Richmond Fla.1945

7.Discharge paper for Airship Rigger 2ND Class Kenneth Albert 1945

I have some other Manuals and papers related to WW ll listing that are part of Albert's estate but not directly related to Air ship service.

I am be no means an expert on Airships and Blimps I am describing these items as I see them, I would light to note the Handwriting in the log book is clear and readable However a few pages have gotten wet at some point and smudged but can be easily read.

Just from a little research you can find that Blimp/Airship war related items are very very rare. These hopefully will go into an advanced collector or museums collections
