This is a fascinating old railroading relic of the past. This antique steam whistle was at one point converted into a lamp base. It measures 14 ½” long x 3 ½” in diameter. The lever still moves. There are some scratches inside the whistle where someone drilled a hole to run a wire. It is up inside one of the three hollowed out areas. Thank goodness that is all they did! It is ready to be polished and proudly displayed. A great item for a collector!!
