RARE NAMED Pre-WWII US Navy Good Conduct medal to KIA Sailor USS Akron


This is a RARE named naval medal to William Thomas Hill, on back it says US Receiving Ship at New York 2 April 1925, the ribbon fell apart, but it has a bar on it, US Naval Air Sta Pensacola Fla and on back C.S.C. 80655 4 June 1929. Mr Hill was one of 73 killed in an airship accident Aboard USS Akron, he was a Pharmacists Mate 1st class. The USS Akron was the largest US Airship in history, anly surpassed by the Hindenberg. Please read up on the ship and the disaster.They don't get any more rare than this.
