AGOODPAIR OFSCOTTISH PROVINCIAL SILVER BUCKLES, WILLIAM ROBB, BALLATER, EDINBURGH c1898

A very nice and rare Pair of Scottish Provincial Silver Buckles made by William Robb of Ballater.

They are hallmarked with the maker\'s mark in a triangular punch \"ROBB BALLATER\" and also the Edinburgh Castle town mark, the Scottish thistle silver mark and date letter \"r\" for 1898/99.

They are of the pattern worn by the Balmoral Highlanders.

They measure approximately 33mm wide by 26mm in height.The combined weight of both is 23.5g

They arein excellent condition and would make a very good addition to any collection of Scottish Provincial Silver.
