A STUNNING PAIR OF GEORGIAN SQUARE PASTE AND SILVER CUFF LINKS CIRCA 1780. BEAUTIFUL HAND CUT PASTE STONES WITH DEEP CUPPED SILVER SETTINGS AND ORIGINAL OPEN LINK BACK.
THE PASTE STONES ARE IN GREAT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. THE CUFF LINKS HAVE A PINK/RED FOIL BACK AND A GOLD DECORATION BEHIND THE STONE. ON ONE OF THE CUFF LINKS THE GOLD DECORATION MOVES AROUND, THE OTHERS ARE STATIONARY.
THE STONES HAVE A VERY NICE SPARKLE AND ARE CLEAR. VERY LITTLE TO NO DETERIORATION TO THE FOIL BACK.
VERY RARE TO SEE AN ORIGINAL PAIR STILL TOGETHER. MANY WERE LOST OR BROKEN UP TO MAKE EARRINGS. THESE ARE IN FINE ANTIQUE CONDITION WITH ORIGINAL PATINA.
MEASURES: 3/8" x 3/8" = 10MM X 10MM

I received this information and thought it was worth adding to the sale listing. "What you actually have are a very nice set of Stuart Crystal cufflinks which date a bit earlier than your estimate. I would say that they are about 1700. They are set in unmarked silver, rock crystal atop pink foil with probably a bed of hairwork and gold wire that make up the original owners initials, or cypher. I would estimate that these are worth at about $1500, but because it's an sale, you will hopefully realize at least $500."
