Rare Red Motorola "pixie" 1955 Not A Transistor Radio But A Mini Tube In Ex.cond:
$76

Pretty rare rarely seen MOTOROLA "PIXIE" with one regular size tube and two miniature tubes. This was, I believe, the first tube radio to contain the mini tubes and it was out on the market just as the first transistor radios came out. Pretty HISTORICAL. Not a big seller, it got lost in the transistor radio "craze" at the time.NO CRACKS, CHIPS OR HAIRLINE CRACKS. Casing is near perfect. Back cover is PERFECT.Just the usual surface scratches here and there from normal use over the years. The metal trim around the tuning dial has a number of fine surface scratches. The MOTOROLA lettering across the grille bars is in PERFECT condition.Looks to take batteries that I do not have on hand, so I'm selling this radio "as-is." You very well could get it to work.Working or not, this is a historical radio, albeit a flop at the time, and to find one in this condition would be great for your transistor radio collection. That RED will really pop out on your radio shelf for certain.
