DESCRIPTION----- . Here we have a Rare & Important Tall thick heavy cranberry glass American brilliant ca.1850 Sandwich glass perfume bottle. I have spent hours doing research and have looked through two books on perfumes and this is Extremely rare and almost never see. This is Rare. Some have said it looks like Baccarat, but two others said it is a Rare American Brilliant Cranberry to clear. This has a brass top which is quite rare as this denotes serious age. The cuts on the bottle are super fine almost like a napkin pattern or very precise and detailed. The work is simply incredible. It measures 7 1/4" long x 2" wide and a width of 1 1/2". Superb condition with no cracks or repairs. If this is what we think and it's American Sandwich glass then it's very important and worth over $5000 and if Baccarat then it's worth as much. There is no stopper, but that is easy to find. The top was originally silverplate and has lost it's silver covering. The top has a few little bumps and sits on top of the piece a tad loose.
