Rare Set Of 12 Taxco Mexico Rafael Melendez Sterling Silver Iced Tea Spoon For SaleFor sale is a beautiful vintage Rare set of eight 12 Taxco Mexico Art deco era sterling silver sipping straw and / or mint julep, iced tea hand crafted spoons hallmarked RM for Rafael Melendez. Melendez was a noted Silversmith who worked with Spratling in 1932. He opened his own Taller in 1939 and employed many Taxco notables, including Pedro Castillo. He sold his land in Taxco Viejo to Spratling, which ultimately became the Spratling Ranch. Each marked sterling silver with the makers mark. They measure 8" each and weigh 71.5 grams.
