First published in 1882, it has had more than one hundred and fifty editions and still enjoys uninterrupted popularity both in France and in English-speaking countries.

Condition: This vintage book is over one hundred years old and in good to very good condition. There iswear to the edges/corners of the hardcover (see picture). The inside pageshave tanneddue to aging but are in very good condition for thelate 1800s. No ripped, loose or missing pages. No dog eared corners, no writing or highlighting. The vintage binding is secure.Note: there is a book plate on the insidecover, and I saw one small bent corner.
