VINTAGE ART DECO GREEN ENAMEL & CHROME COMPACT / MIRROR CHICAGO 1933 WORLD FAIR

This compact was made for the 1933 Chicago World Fair and is marked as such to the front with the phrase of the day, "A Century of Progress".

The compact is in very good used condition (there is a tiny bit of enamel missing on the front and very light wear marks due to use,as shown. It has a compartmentfor powder which is accessedby turning a wheel to release the powder in small amounts. It has a two sided metal mirror and some of the original powder and patterned powderapplicators (pads). Although it comes in a box I'm not sure whether this is the original box.
