Rare Vintage Handcrafted Purse Ansco Shur Shot 1950's Camera Green Lucite Handle:
NEAT RARE VINTAGE BOX PURSE HANDBAG MADE FROM AN ANSCO SHUR SHOT 1950'S CAMERAThis is a very cool find of a vintage box purse made from an actual camera! The camera used is a 1950's (or earlier) ANSCO SHUR SHOT VIEW FINDER CAMERA which has been gutted of all internal parts to make a good compartment for carrying your items. Added to the camera is a top clear green curved lucite handle attached at opposite corners. It is neat that the "lenses" and/or "view finders" are kept on the camera purse. One side opens up to reveal access to the inside. The snap used for closure of this door holds it shut but if pressed to force it, the door will pop open. Measures: 8 1/2" front to back/ 3 1/4" wide side to side/ 4" height. Covering of camera box purse appears to be black vinyl and interior is perhaps made of a wood frame. I am not sure of how these old view finder cameras were constructed but those are just my observations when photographing. Shows some light signs of vintage and handcrafted wear and edge of vinyl on bottom needs to be glued down flat as it is coming up slightly. Top of lucite handle to top of camera is 5".
