A little about my current items:

I will be listing vintage items that not only belonged to my dear Father, but he was the one who developed these very 1st Prototypes, made them and they were kept proudly in his home office display cabinet. My Dad was the Chemist/Technical Director who pioneered decal placement and the HEAT TRANSFER PROCESS to adhere the decals to plastics and glass for many Fortune companies. Some of the companies he developed processes for were Coca-Cola, Disney, Lionel, UTC, Stanley, GM, Harley-Davidson and the list goes on. He flew all over the world meeting with these companies when I was growing up and they would even come to stay at our home when on business. My Father even developed and designed the backlighting panels for the DeLorean Instrument Dash Cluster and the digital 1984 Corvette! My Dad actually played a huge part in developing and patenting the heat transfer decal process that all these companies starting using long, long ago and is still using to this day to adhere all marks, lettering, decals, etc.,. to all their products My Dad, served in WWII and traveled with the Glenn Miller Band playing piano, entertaining weary troops. After being honorably discharged in 1946, he entered into College and then received (2) Masters Degrees. He then taught Mathematics and Chemistry for East Granby High School here in CT. He left to take positions in R&D for Stanley Works, Bristol Brass and then, Electrocal. I do not have a signed COA for this item, but can supply extensive provenance with his work paperwork, hand written letter, business card, etc.,. My Dad was one smart guy! Sadly, this brilliant man is no longer with us and there are no grandchildren to pass these items onto. So please check back if interested and check my other sales.

Item Details Description: Offered for your consideration is this ORIGINAL RARE VINTAGE PROTOTYPE MICKEY MOUSE MINNIE MOUSE WALT DISNEY CORPORATION GLASS. My Father was the individual who designed not only HOW to put these heat transfer decals on glass, but also their design and placement. This glass came from his home office display cabinet where he kept all the items he invented for corporations around the globe. He was super proud of all these and the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse items he was especially pleased about.
This is pre-production of any of these glasses as you can see by NO marking on the bottom, except a stylized \'L\' for the Libbey Glass Company. Libbey sent glass to our house all the time to test products on. Many companies sent items to our house so Dad could make them and test them.
THESE ARE STAMPED: WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS. This is a very early stamp. I believe it is from the 1960\'s/1970\'s. I seem to remember these in the top rack of our home dishwasher. My Dad made us mark a log with a checkmark every time we ran the dishwasher with his test procucts in there so he see how many dishwashings one of his prototypes would go thru without fading or peeling off. It was a fun childhood. Our house was filled with products in the sun, under gutter spouts, on the hot driveway. All in the name of testing these out in a home atmosphere.
These are a real gem of a collectors item! You can feel the very raised, thick heat transfer permanent decals on the glass itself and shows Micky Mouse with his hand raises and encircled on the other side is \'MICKEY MOUSE\' \'MICKEY MOUSE CLUB\'. Glass has NO problems to it - no cracks, no chips, no scratches. Top rim has a raised lip rim to it. NO FLEA BITES anywhere. It measures: 5\" H x 2\" bottom diameter x 2 1/2 top diameter. 12 ounce glass size for reference. SET OF 3 GLASSES.
This comes with a copy of the prototype paperwork shown in this sale\'s pictures that he wrote to leave to me, along with his business card and dash panel prototype. ALL GLASS ITEMS ARE ALWAYS SENT PRIORITY BOXING FOR SAFETY AND PRIORITY HANDLING.

I know little to nothing of how to grade vintage items, so please study the pictures. All items are in their found state. I do not clean any items for fear of ruining them and is up to the buyer to clean them. Because my Dad is no longer with us, I have no way of asking about this item.
