Rare Vintage "ward" Spice Tin, Pics Camel - Pristine & Full First We’ve Seen For Sale
Check out this beautiful multicolored turn-of-the-century "WARD SPICES" tin! This is NOT the later familiar green cylindrical "WARD" spice tin that pictures a palm tree. This one is entirely different! It pictures a camel, like on the "CAMEL CIGARETTES" and is an upright rectangular tin, 2 x 2-3/4 x 1-1/8" with a sifter top. It’s not a paper label but all tin litho with exquisite colors of gold, red, yellow, blue & brown. To top it off, it’s in PRISTINE condition – super clean, crisp and full! Amazing being it’s over 100 years old – plus the litho is of that thin metallic-like paint that usually didn’t stand the test of time, generally very vulnerable to lots of wear! Not this one! Even the thin gold paint is all intact and shiny. From WEIDMAN, WARD & CO. Inc. ALBANY, N.Y. We’ve never seen this tin before!
