RARE VTG ORIGINAL LEVIS S 501 XX 1942-1947 WW2 BIG E HIDDEN RIVET SELVEDGE 30X29:

Very rare vintage original LEVI\'S S501XX WWII era denim jeans c. 1942 - 1947.

Condition is museum quality, in my opinion for 70 - 75 year old Levi\'s 501\'s!

-Made in USA

-100% cotton.

-5-button button fly.

-Selvedge edge inside watch/coin pocket.

-Lemon yellow thread.

-White selvedge.

-Big E red tab with LEVI\'S marked on only one side and is pre- the registration of the Levi\'s trademark, so there is no little \"R\".

-Hidden copper rivets, all intact and free of rips or holes,all marked L S & Co - S F - .

-Leather patch is long gone but the darker blue color of the denim in its\' place indicates it was laundered a couple times before it was removed/degraded away.

-Single felled inseam with one row of stitching up the inner thigh.

-No care tag or interior care instructions, indicating manufacture prior to 1970.

-Because this pair are WWII era, they have the features of the small production changes made during wartime to conserve metal and thread -- namely the absence of the rivets on the watch pocket and the end of the button fly, the removal of the cinch back buckle, and the absence of the arcuate stitching on the back pocket. From 1942 - 1947, the arcuate was painted on the back pockets and was commonly worn away over time and wear.

*Please note: One exposed rivet on the front left is missing.

Historically significant and astonishingly well preserved, these rare 70-75 year old 501\'s are a true collectors\' item.

Denim measurements taken lying flat, are as follows:

Waist: approximately 15 inches x 2 = 30/31 inches

Hip:approximately 18 inches

Rise:approximately 12 inches

Inseam:approximately 29 inches

Length (of outside leg):approximately 39 inches

1940\'s Levi\'s 501\'s in this size and condition only come along so often!
