SCARCE occupational tintype carte-de-visite sized photograph. Nice Full-length portrait of two hard-working coal miners with coal blackened faces,"miner's lunch pails"and mining acoutrements. An amazing aspect of this image is that the miners wear lanterns or lamps on their hats which are actually lit ! (although scarce - over the last 20 years I have encountered just a few "miner" tintype portraits.---this is the only image I've ever seen where the additional animation of a truly "burning"lamp was included in the portrait.) Approximate size is 2-3/8" x 3-5/8". Condition: multiple light surface scuffs and avertical bend on left side. Please see photos for additional condition review. Questions welcome!
