Up for sale with is a Rare Victorian period Jeweled Silver Plate Spoon Warmer in a great Nautilus Seashell form. This is a very high quality piece showing an early Maker's mark for the fine Period Silversmiths Atkin Bros of Sheffield England. It is also marked EPNS which I know is important to many advanced collectors and has a Diamond Registry Mark dating it to Dec 7th 1871. The Dish is an unusual Shell form and I have never seen another with an applied Jewel like this before, I am sure a very Rare find for any collector. The spoon warmer is in good all original condition with some signs of wear to the Brass throughout consistent with age and polishing but no cracks or repairs and it has never been monogrammed which is a nice find. This beauty measures approx. 4-3/4" high x 7-1/2" long x 4-1/2" across widest portion and if someone had it replated it would be stunning ! If you are unfamiliar with Spoon Warmers, they were made for more wealthy people to keep their spoons warm in the drafty Victorian houses, a nice warm spoon at the breakfast table was a high comfort :o) They are now highly collectible and this is a very Rare example from an estate collection, also be sure to check our other sales for 2 more Spoon Warmers.

Hence, have an expected amount of wear from normal use. As such, returning an item because we failed to mention the tiniest bit of wear, or barely discernible flaw is not acceptable. Nor do we accept returns based on buyer's remorse, change of taste, or because a buyer did not realize how "small" four inches might be once in hand.
