Rare Pair Of Two Original Adrian Pearsall Wingback Chairs, Eames Era, Solid For Sale
These are authentic Adrian Pearsall Craft Associates chairs, model 2466-C (see link below to original Craft Associates catalog listing for these chairs). These are originals and are in pretty good condition overall, one has some upholstery damage and one needs a little cleaning up on the wood frame, as displayed in photos. The wooden frame construction is solid, tight and the strapping under the cushion is totally solid. The foam overall is great on the backs, and is a little worn in on the seat cushion. These chairs have been in my family since they were purchased new by my grandparents in Albuquerque, NM.in case you're not aware, Adrian Pearsall is a celebrated designer from the mid-century modern/atomic age/Eames era design period. his work is valued highly by collectors and this period is currently very sought after due to Mad Men. Here's your chance to own a matched set of great examples of this era and his work.
These rare chairs are likely worth $1500-$2000 EACH as a matched set once refurbished. I've chosen not to refurbish them so that the buyer can make the design choices. The asking price reflects the fact that they each need investment to be in prime condition and achieve full value.NOTE: WE ARE SELLING THESE AS A PAIR. THIS LISTING IS FOR TWO CHAIRS OF IDENTICAL DESIGN.
