Welcome to The "AntiquesArt" sales. We always try to start out items with low starting offer no matter what the value. Which I am sure both collectors and buyers will like very much,.....the way a Real sale should be.

This week we have this vintage hand carved and hand painted Origianal ERZGEBIRGE Expertic Made in German Democratic Republic Music box. This is THE MOST ELABORATE and UNUSUAL piece we have EVER come across. It still retains the original paper label on the bottom. In addition to being an unusual piece it is also one of the largest pieces we have come across. The tree in particular is stunning and is done in wood shavings. There are a total of 10 figures (children and animals) The base is beautifully hand painted in a floral motif. It measures 10" x 5" and plays perfectly (I am unsure as to what song it plays). The only problems I can see with this piece is that the string is missing from the little girl pulling the bunny rabbit pull toy and the girl in front of her may be missing something (see photos) this does not detract from the piece in any way. There are also a few small paint chips as you can see in the photos. Again it is not noticable to the naked eye and does not detract from the beauty of the piece. This is truly rare find. Beautiful workmanship on this piece that you just do not find anymore. We are listing this sale as a Buy It Now with a Best offer option so feel free to make any reasonable offers on this piece.
