Make an entrance in this gorgeous coat from one of Boston\'s grandest department stores! Founded in 1847, the venerable Richard H. Stearns store was renowned for quality fashion. [See label in photo #5]Its clientele was decidedly upscale.
The design of this beauty is timeless! Made of high quality black wool with black silk lining, four velvet-covered buttons are atop a flattering nipped-in waist. This stunning piece was well-cared-for and cherished by the original owner and is in excellent condition.
A dramatic collar of cut-velvet is a show-stopper, featuring an intricate design of gold embroidery and beading. The collar in back is as strikingly detailed as it is in the front!
